In human history there has been a continuous and growing impulse toward the regeneration and transformation of humanity. --Barbara Marx Hubbard.

Senseless acts of violence like the shootings in Connecticut paint a picture of the worst of human nature.
There are so many emotions that run through us in the face of this tragedy…horror, sympathy, and perhaps even a sense of hopelessness.
Yet, what if we choose to see this event as an opportunity to continue our efforts towards transformation.  It is obvious that the need is still there.
Each one of can do our part, whether it be large or small.
How can we help?
Here is a simple Guided Imagery exercise you can use. Breathe into your heart. Feel it opening to the Light. Sit quietly until an Image emerges in your mind. Converse with the Image and you will find an answer.

I recently sent out my monthly Words of Wisdom coaching tips/quotes e-mail to the wonderful people who have signed up to be part of my list.

In it, I describe a process designed to help people be open to Divine Guidance and Flow.

Click on the Contact page of this website if you want me to send you the e-mail.

The purpose of this blog is to show you one way to create your own Sacred Bowl.

Please see the paragraphs below for illustrated instructions, or  let your creativity guide you in developing your own process.

Many Blessings!

Picture
Find a bowl with a shape you like. Cover the outside of it with aluminum foil.

Picture
Mix tacky glue with water until it's the consistency of melted ice cream.

Picture
Cover the surface of the foil with glue, and then with tissue paper.
I tore my paper to create soft edges.
Use tissue paper that "bleeds"  (available through art supply catalogs) if you want the colors to blend together. The colors will look milky until the glue dries.

Picture
Let the glue dry completely, and then remove the  tissue-covered aluminum bowl from the mold.

Next, place your tissue bowl INSIDE of the  bowl form. Repeat the same process of coating with glue & covering with tissue.
Enjoy your beautiful, one-of-a-kind bowl! I think the aluminum foil makes it look as if Light is shining through.

Words of Wisdom….
       Bee-ing the Impossible

After a whirlwind of moving furniture and creating space in my new office, I finally found time to sit and relax. There are 8 spaces where I could have chosen to sit, and the place I picked was my comfy couch.

As I looked down before taking my seat, I noticed a bumblebee on the floor. Because I believe there are synchronicities in even the smallest of occurrences, I took this as a message from the Universe.

I remembered I had read somewhere that, in terms of aerodynamics, because of the way its body is designed, it should be impossible for a bumblebee to fly. Yet, we see them flying every summer.

How can that be so? Perhaps it is because the bumblebee does not KNOW or does not PAY ATTENTION to what others say it can or cannot do. It simply does what it was born to do.

What if each one of us were to apply this same principle to our own life? What if we pay no heed to those around us who doubt that we can accomplish what we are born to do?

If there is something your heart longs for, yet what you desire seems impossible or out of reach, try asking yourself the following questions:

1. Who would I have to beecome in order to accomplish this?

2. What would I have to beelieve?

The Spider's Gift
I am finding myself spending as much time as possible outdoors these days, knowing that the warm weather won’t last much longer. As I stepped outside on our deck yesterday, I noticed a small spider, seemingly floating in midair. Upon closer examination, I realized it was suspended by a single strand of web. Our deck stands about 8 feet above the ground, and the height at which the spider hung suspended seemed to be another 5 foot higher than that. As I continued to gaze upward, I discovered that the web was connected to an overhead electrical wire several feet above the spider.

“How could a creature so small leap from such a great height,” I wondered? Was it courage that enabled the spider to do this…or, perhaps faith? Neither of those words seemed appropriate. As I continued to ponder, further observation of the spider provided the answer I sought. As a gentle breeze blew the suspended spider back and forth, I realized that, bit by bit, the creature spun just enough web to move itself downward towards its destination. It wasn’t courage or faith that propelled the spider forward, but rather, I guessed, an Inner Knowing that it had the resources it needed to make the journey.

Does this story speak to some aspect of your life? Or, might the Spider’s Inner Knowing be a gift to someone you know who has an important decision to make or step to take, yet is holding back?
Or, perhaps you know someone who is extremely gifted or talented in a way that is obvious to you & others, yet seems to be reluctant to use/share their gift.

I believe each one of us has or can access the resources we need, and I love helping others discover how to spin strands that help them move forward on the web of life. Are you ready to accept the Spider's Gift?
