Unique Therapy Sessions
If you had a lot of traumatic things happen in the past, you might need to begin with therapy. Unresolved trauma is like a wound that won't heal. You can put a bandaid on it, but if it's infected, it will just get worse.
My therapy sessions are a lot different than what you might expect. My main goal is to find your strengths and build on those. You've probably had a lifetime of focusing on your weaknesses, so we don't need to spend more time there!
We'll start by helping you identify the old stories that are holding you back—those thoughts that you have when you tell yourself, "I can't do_____" or "I shouldn't want______ or feel ______. " You'll learn how to stop letting those old stories dominate your life and drive your behavior.
I'll give you some skills you can use so that you CAN stand to experience the tough emotions like anger, loneliness, and anxiety. You'll learn some of the newer therapy techniques like Positive Psychology and how to use energy practices including:

You'll pay out of pocket for your sessions, giving you with more privacy related to your insurance. Typically, we create a simple treatment plan involving 6-8 sessions, and then take stock from there.
